World Health Day

In the midst of the global pandemic, it’s no surprise that this World Health Day will be centered around patient health and COVID-19. While the threat of the virus may be daunting at times, on this World Health Day, we challenge you to shift your mindset towards bettering the health of yourself and others.

One way to do this is to get vaccinated! Everyone 5 years of age and older are now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination, and everyone 12 and older may be eligible for a COVID booster (12 and older for Pfizer, 18 and older for Moderna and Johnson and Johnson). The Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines are CDC recommended as the best choice for preventing infection from COVID-19 in most people and can be a great way to protect yourself (and others) and promote good health.

Speak to a Moose Pharmacist for more information, verify eligibility, or schedule a vaccine appointment. Immune support is another way to improve your health and can be beneficial in preparing your body to fight off illnesses.

Over-the-counter products such as Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc supplements (and more!) can help boost your immune system. While it may not prevent or treat infection, it can help reduce the severity of your infection.

Ask a Moose Pharmacist about immune support and some of these OTC products! Finally, some of the best ways to prevent infection include practicing the 3 W’s: Wear a mask over your nose and mouth, wait at least 6 feet apart, and wash your hands.

Together, all of these things can positively impact your health and the health of our global community!

Bullet Points:

  • Everyone 5 years of age and older are now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination, and everyone ages 18 and older should get a booster shot.
  • OTC supplements (i.e. Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc) can play a huge role in boosting the immune system to fight off potential infections.
  • Ask a Moose Pharmacist about scheduling your COVID vaccine appointment and OTC immune support supplements.
