No Tobacco Day

Everyone’s response to stress and anxiety is different, but many people turn to smoking cigarettes for an immediate relief. Since the global pandemic hit early 2020 that put many people into hardships, cigarette sales have gone up 1%, which ended the trend of declining cigarette sales since 2015.

Although smoking may provide an immediate sense of relaxation, research has shown that it actually increases anxiety and tension. It is also the leading cause of preventable disease, disability, and death in the United States, taking almost half a million American lives from tobacco-related illness each year.

World No Tobacco Day is celebrated around the world every year on May 31.

There are various ways to quit smoking, which include nicotine replacement therapy, such as nicotine patch and gums, behavioral counselings, and prescription medications.

Our Moose pharmacists can help you select which method will suit you the best, or you can visit our Moose OTC isles to pick up a product of your choice. If you need an alternative method to relieve your anxiety, you can also ask our Moose pharmacists about our CBD products!
