Did you know May is National Military Appreciation Month? Officially designated by Congress in 1999, Military Appreciation Month takes place every year throughout the entire month of May.
Every year, the president issues an annual proclamation reminding Americans to celebrate this patriotic month that pays tribute to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
Although the entire month of May honors past and present military members and their families, there are several, military specific holidays sprinkled throughout the month including Loyalty Day, VE Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day.
Moose Pharmacy would like to recognize and honor current and former members of the US Armed Forces, including those who have died in the pursuit of freedom. We wanted to thank all active duty and veterans for their service!
Are you a military veteran? Here at Moose Pharmacy we provide several clinical services for veterans and their spouses.
These services include Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and Point of Care Testing such as COVID-19 and blood pressure testing. During an MTM appointment, you can gain insight and autonomy over the medications that you are prescribed, as well as have the opportunity to take on an active role in your own health care.
The pharmacists at Moose will review all your current medications including prescriptions, OTC medications, herbal therapies, and dietary supplements to identify any medication-related issues and then can create a plan to resolve them, alongside you and/or the prescriber.
Patients on multiple medications, regardless of age, are prime candidates for medication reviews and should receive a medication review at least once a year.
