Whit Jr. and Joe Moose are fourth generation pharmacists. They work together to oversee the operation of Moose Pharmacy’s five locations and compounding pharmacy. With their highly trained staff, they continue building their patients’ trust and loyalty everyday.
Whit manages the Mount Pleasant pharmacy. He is a graduate of the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy and is certified in osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, and homeopathy. He also serves on the Mount Pleasant Planning and Zoning board and is an accomplished musician.
Dr. Joe Moose manages the Concord location. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1990 from Campbell University. He is co-chair of the NC Medicaid Drug Regimen Review Board, a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee for NC Medicaid, an adjunct assistant professor at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy, and Director of Community Pharmacy residency for UNC-Chapel Hill.
Whit and Joe are dedicated to keeping Moose Pharmacy on the cutting edge of healthcare service by working within their industry, as educators, and at the state level to improve the pharmacists’ role in healthcare process. According to Joe, dispensing medicine will always be an important function of pharmacists, but the future is in tapping their cognitive services as experts. This belief keeps the Moose family focused on providing the highest quality care and broadest range of healthcare options for their patients.
